All Better Now

Hey everyone!

Thanks for all the well wishes on my social media accounts! Yes, I was sick again. I’m pretty private about “why” I am sick in public, but I know SO many women out there suffer with the same issues as I do, so I’m not afraid to share that I suffer from a bad case of endometriosis.

Luckily, I’m part of an awesome support group on Facebook called Endo Warriors. If you are in my shoes, you might want to check it out! I don’t post too often, but I find comfort in the articles and things posted because I can relate to them so much.

So since I wasn’t feeling well, I was pretty much stuck in bed for 2 days. No gym, no movement, heck I barely showered! I know gross, but I get extreme fatigue and cannot function. But who was by my side? You guessed it! Miss Buffay.

Always Mommy’s sidekick. By day 2 she wasn’t as well behaved. I think she was getting cabin fever, but overall I can’t complain because she stayed in my bed for about 20 some hours out of the day. Even if she did hop around a little bit 😉

Day 2 I was pretty darn spoiled. My dad brought me Starbucks

And my coach brought me Fro Yo after his gym session.

Okay, so maybe he let me eat one stupid little serving and then put the lid on and bailed… 😉 but his heart was in the right place. Plus, he’s just doing his job! Not letting me over indulge.

On Thursday I FINALLY was feeling better. After a so-so day at work I was more than ready to go back to the gym. A smile on my face all the way there!

We did chest and I finish with these really cool TRX pushups where my feet are in the loops (slightly higher than a plank position). Well let me tell you it’s easier than it sounds. I always end a set screaming. YES, SCREAMING. Coach has to help me and pick up my torso as we go, but it’s killer. The first time I ever did them the loops were a tad too high and he didn’t help me out of them so I belly flopped right onto the floor when I finished my set.  PLOP Minnie face planted her mug right down. We both laughed pretty hard at that one.

This is the general idea, but again we place my feet higher in the loops to make it more difficult! If you don’t have a spotter go lower to the ground.

After the gym I was excited to have another one of my OUR SKINNY shakes.

I fell in love with these at FitBloggin’ because it was some of the swag, and I cannot get enough of them! They are SO convenient for after the gym. Just fill the bottle with a little water, shake it up, sip, and go! They have between 70 and 100 calories (depending on flavor) and 15 grams of protein. The perfect amount for me after the gym. Sometimes if I have a full shake I feel bloated, these are just right 🙂

The vanilla shake is a DREAM. It tastes like cake batter! You guys know I love anything that tastes like a big vanilla cake.

Phoebs and I finished our night catching up on e-mails and blog related things. Mommy’s little helper!

I hope you all have a wonderful Friday ahead of you. I haven’t been blogging on the weekends much, but I will probably have at least one up this weekend again.

  2. Thank you for sharing this! I suffer from severe endo as well and it is horrible! I’m definitely going to check out the Facebook group you posted. The only thing that has helped me so far is continuous birth control (no periods). It has been a life saver!
