Easy Strawberry Vanilla Smoothie

Let me be up front here. This recipe is pretty darn basic. I really just wanted an excuse to use my Ninja! Full review coming soon, but thanks to my friends for sending me this amazing little gadget. What a wonderful mid-week surprise to come home to šŸ™‚

At night I was craving something sweet and I love strawberries, so I grabbed those out of the freezer and whipped up this little evening treat.

To make it a little thicker, I used Arctic Zero in maple vanilla. No worries, Arctic Zero is not full of chemicals like people think. It’s basically whey ice water with some flavoring (The best way I can describe it). It’s also a tad hard to find sometimes, and a little on the more expensive side, but I use it on rare occassions when I want to thicken up some sort of treat.

When the two combine you get a strawberry shortcake flavoring. Mmmmmm!

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/3 cup Maple Vanilla Arctic Zero
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • A few drops of liquid vanilla stevia

That’s it!

Everything goes in my cup, then a few pulses and boom. A strawberry shortcake drink!

I actually had some Tru Whip (natural whipped cream) floating around in the fridge that would’ve made a great topping, but whoops I forgot about it! I was too into drinking it and remembered when I was at the bottom of the cup.

If you wanted this as a post-gym shake, just add in a scoop of protein powder. I was maxed out on my protein calories for the day, so I left it out.

Happy drinking…
