So there’s this thing on Instagram that floats around called Woman Crush Wednesday (WCW). Basically it’s where girls post pictures of women they look up to, admire, or think are very pretty. I am so flattered to say I’ve been someone’s WCW a few times, and I’m shocked every time it happens. Me? Someone’s woman crush? Awesome! I find it more flattering than anything a man could ever say.
My girl crush lists changes ALL the time. I normally have a standard TOP 5, but this fluctuates according to what’s going on in my life. I have a fitness top 5, I have a celebrity top 5, and I just have my overall. I’m into lists and rankings, so superficial, oh well. Here’s my current top 5 in no particular order because I love them all:
- Kate Middleton (a princess-duh)
2. Carrie Underwood (country barbie)
3. Jenna Dewan Tatum (beautiful and an overall great glow)
4. Jamie Eason (fitness model and new mom to be!)
5. Bella Falconi (fitness model and JACKED)

My terrible Tuesday was in fact… TERRIBLE. I sometimes wonder if anyone thinks aw I wonder how Katie is handling her TT (Terrible Tuesday), then I say wow girl get a grip, no one cares, we all have our own problems. I spent the entire morning in the Emergency Department, seeing gall bladder after gall bladder, and trying to track down the right person to contact about it. I have a fun job huh? The morning did go fast since I was so busy, but I was super overwhelmed and it showed. I always realize I need to get my life in check and fix my face when someone says “what’s wrong, what can I do?”. I usually give myself a pep talk “Kate, just do it, get it done, then move on to the next task”. Easier said than done when 10 things need to be done at once.
When lunch time rolled around I wasn’t too hungry, but when there is an opportunity to eat, you take it.
2:30 hit and I had the crash, I fully expected it though since I did not sleep a WINK the night before. I had that stinging feeling in my eyes and a low brow headache… the no sleep combo. I really need to go to bed on time the rest of this week, I hope I can.
Gym time came and even though I was tired, I found the will because honestly I really did want to work out! I love back day. Here was my workout:
- Dead lifts, 90-100 lbs, 10-12 reps x 5 sets
- Reverse grip lat pulldown, 40-60 lbs, 8-12 reps x 4 sets
- Narrow grip rows with 60 lb barbell, 12 reps x 4 sets
- Wide delt fly’s 8 lb kettles, 10 reps x 4 sets
- Kettle bell pulse ups, 35 lbs, 10 reps x 4 sets
- Kettle bell swings, 35 lbs, 15 reps x 4 sets
- Eagle rows machine, 70-85 lbs, 8-12 reps x 4 sets
- Bent over fly’s, 20 lb dumbbells, 12 reps x 4 sets
I also did 30 minutes of quick cardio, 15 on the arc trainer and 15 on the treadmill (just a speed walk), my body was super tired.
I came home, took Phoebe for a walk and she decided she wanted to make a leap for the mulch.
For dinner I had the same thing as the night before but instead of the tilapia, I had a leftover bison steak. Love me some rice paper wraps!
Later I was falling asleep at the keyboard… in fact.. zzzzz…. sorry!
No really I need sleep. Plus I’m already feeling that back workout, I think I pushed myself too hard. TIme to wrap up this quick entry.
